THE SCIENTIFIC COALITION FOR UAP STUDIES ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH THE LATIN AMERICAN ACADEMY OF SCIENTIFIC UFOLOGY
July 24 – Today, the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies (SCU) released the following announcement:
The SCU is pleased to announce a partnership agreement with the Latin American Academy of Scientific Ufology (LAASU) in Sao Paulo, Brazil. LAASU’s mission is to employ science as the method to understand the phenomenon’s reality. LAASU comprises a young, multidisciplinary team of field and theoretical investigators. The organization offers training courses and produces peer-reviewed papers for ufology groups in Brazil and the rest of Latin America.
The partnership agreement between SCU and LAASU is based on a shared process of scientific inquiry into an international phenomenon that has yet to be explained.

Julio Acosta-Navarro, LAASU Founder and Director: “The LAASU community is very happy and excited about the realization of a partnership agreement between our two organizations with the same goals concerning ufology. It’s a small step for our two organizations but a big step for the study of UAP.

SCU promotes and encourages the rigorous scientific examination of UAP, commonly known as Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs). SCU comprises scientists, engineers, members of the high-tech and defense industries, former military, and other professionals, utilizing scientific principles, methodologies, and practices to advance the study of UAP observed and reported around the globe.
The Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Contributions to SCU are tax-deductible.
LAASU was established in 2017 to foster the study and research of understanding reality, complexity, and the use of information obtained through research within the ufological phenomenology associated with an intelligence purportedly more advanced in technological terms.
LAASU is a non-profit organization formally established in the State of Sao Paulo, República Federativa do Brasil.
